Every pregnancy is different. Some women have nice round bellies at 30 weeks and others just aren’t showing enough. I have even photographed women at 38 or 39 weeks who were glorious at that stage. We want you to be nice and round, without being swollen and uncomfortable.
I like to photograph maternity sessions sometime between 30-37 weeks.
I started my business doing only black and white maternity portraits on film (that’s all there was back then!). I have a great deal of experience in posing and lighting to make every woman look their best. You don’t need to worry about being photogenic or knowing what to do - I will take care of that part!
I have been photographing pregnancy for 16 years.
It is a time when women radiate an amazing glow that hints at the new life within. You only go through this journey with this child one time. It can never be recreated.
It is an honor for me to document this precious stage in the life of your family. I often think about what it will be like for you to show these images to your son or daughter in 5 or 10 years so they can see how much they were desired before they were even born. They will see the love that made them.
Pregnancy is a miracle, a fleeting moment in time.
No one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all, you are the only one who knows what my heart sounds like on the inside.

Celebrating Motherhood
There are so many options! I love fitted things that really showcase your bump! Dresses that are stretchy and not necessarily maternity, but hug your curves are perfect. I also love things that are flowy like a long maxi dress or robe. A bra and panties set with or without a comfy cardigan is a favorite look. We will have a phone consultation to go over all of the fun details and talk about clothing options for your session. We can photograph 3-4 different outfits for a variety of looks. I am always open to your ideas and your vision for your sessions!

Maternity sessions are scheduled Monday-Friday in the studio. The session fee does not include any products.

We put an appointment on the calendar (Monday-Friday) based on your due date and have the flexibility to move your session up or back if you deliver early or go late. Because of this flexibility, I take a limited number of newborns each month. Once you book your session, we will have a detailed phone consultation to go over all of the details, and I will send you a newborn session preparation guide to go over everything you need to know before your session.
So that we can capture this brief moment in time when the baby is still all sleepy and squishy, newborn sessions typically occur between 7-21 days after birth.
Their tiny fingers and toes, sweet little lips, fuzzy hair and soft snuggled up body. This newborn stage goes by in the blink of an eye! I am passionate about documenting this time for your family to cherish forever.
I have been photographing newborns for 16 years and have a great deal of experience in working with babies safely to get the images my clients treasure. I strive to create images that are soft, neutral and timeless and really focus on your baby and not a lot of distracting props - at home or in studio.
Nothing is more precious and life changing than welcoming a newborn baby into your family.
